Given a gene, other genome feature, or genome coordinate, displays in FASTA format the surrounding sequence a specified number of nucleotides upstream and downstream
Perform a protein or nucleotide BLAST query against any published bacterial genome
The genome viewer facilitates browsing the genome annotations of selected published genomes.
Annotations were obtained from .gbk and .ptt files available on the NCBI ftp site. The genome viewer contains several features that facilitate navigation through the genome annotations and assist with genomic comparison:
Graphical visualization of features in genomic neighborhoods
Advanced search tool for finding genes, pseudogenes, IS elements, rRNA and tRNA
Ability to create text formatted reports and FASTA files from search results
Integrated BLAST tool for quickly finding sequence similarities
Color coded chromosome maps to facilitate jumping to various regions of each genome
Query tool for retrieving the nucleotide sequence surrounding a given gene, other genome feature, or genome coordinate
Detailed reports of annotation pipeline analysis results (e.g. GO terms, PFAM, COG) for selected genomes
6-Frame translation graphical representation with visualization of pipeline analysis results
